Language & Culture
Thunderclan utilises some differing terminology and ranks due to the foreign heritage of its current Leader. The usual Clan hierarchy has been expanded upon, to better unite and further the Clan as a whole.
Thunderclan cats are also no longer bound by solemn obligation to adhere to Clan naming conventions (-kit, -paw, -star; two-part word names in general), but are encouraged to keep the tradition alive if it so appeals to them, as the Imperator is rather fond of it. Those who choose to follow traditional conventions will still be eligible for the applicable name ceremonies, to be held as appropriate and officiated by the Imperator.

Meaning: Leaders
High ranking cats, including the Imperator's future successor.

Meaning: Advisors
Thunderclan's Elders.
Augur
Meaning: Oracle
The Medicine Cat, responsible for looking after the health of the Clan as well as interpreting the will of Starclan.
Medicī
Meaning: Healers
Other 'Medicine Cats' who assist the Augur with healing work, but cannot commune with Starclan.
Legatus
Meaning: (War) General
The 'Lead Warrior', responsible for all the duties of a Deputy. However, unlike a normal Deputy, the Legatus is not intended to lead the Clan and will not be actively taught by the Imperator.
Bellātōrēs
Meaning: Warriors
... They're Warriors, yup.
Magistra
Meaning: Mistress
The 'Lead Queen', responsible for organising the nursery.
Mātrēs
Meaning: Mothers
Thunderclan's Queens, who protect, nurture, and teach the Clan's kits vital life skills before they reach 6 moons.
Catulī
Meaning: Kittens
The same as in any other Clan, except that this single youth rank combines both Kits too young to become Apprentices, and Apprentices who have yet to complete their training and achieve their desired rank.
The Warrior Code
As the Imperator is not Clanborn, he has opted to make some adjustments to the Warrior Code to align better with what he believes is best for the future of Thunderclan. The amended code is as follows:
I
Thunderclan is a cat's one and only allegiance. Friendships with outside cats may exist only during peacetime, as in times of war all Thunderclan cats are expected to stay true to their Clan- even if this means potentially being required to strike down their former friend.
II
Activities undertaken on the territory of others are not restricted by Thunderclan law, but if a roving cat gets into trouble then they may find themselves handed over to the group they've offended as a peace offering.
III
When a large meal is caught, the Clan will prioritise the hungry in the following order- Mātrēs, Catulī, Cōnsiliāriī, Medicī, Bellātōrēs, and finally Prīncipēs. Exceptions may be made depending on an individual's health.
IV
Prey is killed only to be eaten. Sport hunting is liable to earn a cat scarification as punishment, so that all may know their shame.
V
Catulī must be at least six moons old to begin training to join either the Bellātōrēs or Medicī.
VI
Newly appointed Bellātōrēs must complete a task, which will be decided by the Legatus. The same goes for the Medicī, but decided by the Augur.
VII
A Legatus or Magistra can only be chosen from cats who have successfully mentored Catulī while they were Bellātōrēs. A new Augur, meanwhile, succeeds their mentor directly from their Medicī rank.
VIII
The Legatus will succeed their Imperator only if there are no other Prīncipēs in the Clan at the time of the Imperator's death, retirement, or banishment.
IX
If ever the Clan is left without its Legatus, Magistra, or Augur for any reason, the new holder of the title must be promoted within a day and night.
X
All cats of Thunderclan will observe the rituals and particulars of the Gathering, with no exceptions.
XI
Thunderclan's borders are strictly maintained. All outside cats, regardless of alignment or origin, will be challenged if found trespassing.
XII
Outside kits found on Thunderclan territory are to be brought before the Prīncipēs.
XIII
The word of the Imperator is as law, even if it runs contradictory to the Code.
XIV
Death can be an inevitable outcome in the heat of battle, and no honor is considered lost if one must resort to this in order to survive the encounter- so long as no joy is taken in the act. Needless loss of life is liable for the same scarification as sport hunting.
XV
Judge not the kittypet for their method of survival, but do not be tempted to join them. Thunderclan provides a higher purpose for cat life, and that is a thing of great pride.
XVI
Thunderclan remains to the strict exclusion of all others, except in the most dire of circumstances. The Imperator reserves sole right to determine what (if anything) is to be done when another Clan is in peril.
